Crime Stoppers started in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1976. It has expanded to Canada and the rest of the world. Niagara brought Crime Stoppers to the community in the late ’80s. Since then, it has helped to take over 1 million dollars worth of narcotics off the street and retrieve over 2 million dollars of stolen property.
