Review: The Influencer by Alex Grass

This book has many components that converge to make an interesting story. A sorcerer is being driven in a limo while cell heads are running amuck throughout the city. The new vigilante may be the only one to save them, but if they can is still unknown. The Influencer by [Alex Grass]

This is the second book by Alex Grass that I have had the pleasure of reviewing. Like the last book, his writing is excellent and the story bizarre. I enjoy how he crafts the world and the characters within it. The story itself is strange, and I wasn’t sure why things were happening until closer to the end. But it all comes together!

I enjoyed the concept that social media and cell phones are more important in this society than (sorry, I can’t tell you that would be a spoiler).

The main problem with this book is that I didn’t know it was just the beginning. The book ends just as it is getting good, and I have to impatiently wait for the next installment. We are left with a cliffhanger making this book a bit of a letdown, but I still suggest you pick up a copy because the story, writing, and world are worth it.
