Write or Die Show

Wow…. that is all I can say about the amazing reception that I have gotten since starting my new show Write or Die. I knew that I wanted a podcast and I had tried a few different ideas but they just didn’t fit right. Finally, when I was speaking with Mike Ulmer (who is actually featured in the first episode) he gave me the idea to interview authors. And of course the main topic of discussion is mental health!

I don’t know how I never thought of that before. It was the perfect show for me. I started working on the prep work and then put out a call for guests. I never realized that I would have so many people request to be a guest. I thought the hardest part of the show would be finding people willing to be on the show and talk about their mental health. Boy was I wrong. I now have a list of 70 guests and have started a waitlist.

That’s right if you want to be a guest on the show you will now be added to the waitlist.

Plus, I figured one episode a week would be hard enough to complete. Before I even released the first episode I had enough guests lined up to release two episodes a week. I feel so blessed that this small idea has grown to a massive project.

If you have ever had a dream but was too scared or didn’t know how to start then this is what I say to that – just start. I had no idea what I was doing when I started this author thing in 2017 and now I have released 5 books and started my own YouTube channel with a waitlist of guests. I may not be making a million dollars (who knows maybe one day) but I am happy! I love doing what I am doing and that is worth more than a million dollars.

Follow your passions and try, here are a few things I have done and learned about following my passion:

1. ask questions – lots of questions to people who have done it before. I have even talked to people that I wasn’t sure how we would fit together and learned from them
2. try and fail and try again – like I said I tried different podcast ideas before realizing the one that was right for me
3. join a networking group – the people I have met through my business networking group have inspired me and taught me so much about business.
